Darren Dylan Dodson is a native of Raleigh, NC. He is the founder and CEO of Dodson Development, a Black-owned tech company specializing in web development, app development, and geospatial mapping. Darren received his bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science from UNC Greensboro and is currently working towards obtaining his master’s degree in Tourism Management, as well as his Geographic Information Science certificate, from NC State University. in Tourism Management as well as his Geographic Information Science certificate. He is a dedicated and results-driven GIS professional experienced in geospatial analytics, database management, and GIS coordination. He has been instrumental in creating and refining high-quality maps and data products. He has also become proficient in using geoprocessing tools, geocoding services, and spatial overlays to create, edit, and enrich both spatial and non-spatial datasets. Additionally, he is highly skilled in developing top-quality cartographic work products for both desktop and web environments. Darren has become adept in editing, analyzing, performing quality control, and maintaining metadata on existing GIS datasets. He also has supported development of spatial data management solutions for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) utilization. As a team player, he builds and maintains long-term professional relationships with clients and stakeholders alike.
